Mother’s Day may not have the same status as holidays like Christmas, but it’s still a very important day of the year! Mothering Sunday originated as a holiday celebrated by Christians, it falls on the fourth Sunday of Lent, exactly three weeks before Easter.

It was originally a celebration of “mother church” but has now evolved into a day for children to honour their Mothers.
