Kaycee Bears

Take a look at the adorable Turbo, the baby Dragon who will melt your heart with his (or her) big puppy-dog eyes and dainty horns. All of the creatures produced by Kaycee are handmade here in the UK and really are one of a kind. You won’t find any furry friends like them – or as delightful. 

Did you know: Kaycee Bears are handmade with love by Kelsey and her team. With over 25 years of bear-making experience, every creature is designed and created by Kelsey and her team. The materials used are only the best including cashmere for the foot pads and glass eyes, handcrafted in England. Each Kaycee Bear is finished off with a crystal in the foot pad – simply fantastic.

Steiff

We’ve got a huge selection of the popular, Steiff animals. With over 600 to chose from, you will be spoiled for choice. The Classic 1909 Teddy Bear is a perfect companion for the rest of your collectable bears to sit atop a fireplace or on the end of the bed.

Maybe you’ve got a little bundle of joy in the family… in which case, Did you know: Steiff use Mohair, a luscious, shiny material which is from the wool of an angora goat. Suki Bears

Our new additions to the family come from the innovative British business, Suki Gifts. All Suki products are designed in-house and range from more modern cuddly toys to traditional bears. They also offer Silver Tag collectible furry friends, which will boost your collection to a whole new level. The Din’oz collection has its own adorable appeal; their Brontosaurus is the perfect partner for any child (or older child) out there. The sleepy face and super-soft fur pull at my heartstrings, you won’t be able to resist finding yourself one!

Our personal favourite of all being the Classical cuddly toys such as their Wolf, this teddy is a show stopper and has meticulous details. Wolf has such big eyes that the traditional Teddy Bear characteristics are not lost with the more modern designs, which is always a bonus!

Merrythought

With over 85 years of experience in the industry, Merrythought are a company you can trust to supply high quality bears. Since 1930 Merrythought have hand-made their bears in the World Heritage Site of Ironbridge, and are the last British teddy bear manufactures standing. Four generations have dedicated themselves to creating the company it is today, and if you look at their products you’ll understand their motivation.

Every single bear is hand made in England using premium materials; from classical, bespoke mohair to alpaca wool and even silk! Binky Bunny is our favourite Merrythought bear, with a warm smile and such slender ears, he could have walked straight out of a nursery rhyme.

Freddy Fox is the cheekiest teddy on the market and his pink satin bow absolutely perfects this look. He would be the perfect feature to any mantelpiece.

We asked our Toy Street team which their favourite are…

I’m a sucker for a Kaycee dragon. Every single one is just so amazingly crafted. I think my favourites are Turbo and Pumpkin Pickle – who I’m pretty sure isn’t even a dragon. They look so innocent and like butter wouldn’t melt. I’ve already got Turbo and will be adding Pumpkin into the mix ASAP – Olivia.

My favourite bears are the Steiff Happy friends range. They are the perfect gift for the little people in my life, with such a great range of different animals or characters. They are the perfect gift, beautifully made high quality plush bear but still something the little ones can snuggle up to in bed and be part of their little adventures – Sarah.

I have been a collector of bears for over 20 years now. I love all my bears/dragons in my collection. When I enter a teddy bear shop, the question you may ask is “how do I decide which bear may I decide to buy?” Well it all comes down to the face, the way it looks at me, the look on its face asking me to take them home! Sometimes I find one, but not always, sometimes I come out empty handed – to my husband’s delight… and his wallet! Overall, I love all my bears dearly. If I had to choose my favourite bear, well dragon actually, it is Odin, a Kaycee dragon. He definitely wins my heart – Treena.

Digby Dog made by Merrythought is sooooo cute! His hand embroidered claws, nose and smile all add to his charm and character – as do his lop-sided ears – a common feature among all my dogs at home! I’ve just started collecting bears, and I think Digby will be a great addition to my bear shelf – Rebecca.
