Fidget Putty: The Solution to Boredom
Lauren Posted on:-18-11-21 Collections,
Do you ever find yourself or your kids driving you crazy because they have nothing new to play with? Well, why don’t you grab yourself one of our exclusive new putties? Brought to you by Norbert’s Fidget Putty.
These putties come in a range of different styles and colours, so there is one for all and everyone to muck in and enjoy. Here at Toy Street, we are fond of sticky and messy products – who doesn’t love a bit of slime. So you may be wondering, what can I do with it other than squishing it in my hands and making a mess?
Here are the top five things to do with Fidget Putty:
Number 1: Bounce it
Of course, you would only want to bounce the Fidget Putty on a tile floor as you don’t want it to get stuck to the carpet – that would not be good. By bouncing the putty or rolling it on the floor, it can act as a lint roller – picking up bits of dirt or hairs but in a way that doesn’t seem like a chore – as well as the kids helping out, even if it’s a small amount.
If you’re in the kitchen, you can use our fantastic Magnetic Putty to attach it to the fridge or anything magnetic you can find. (Remember to ask permission first!)
Number 2: Stretch it
As our Fidget Putty is flexible and stretchy, you can also use it as a stress toy – whether this is to do with day to day life or just wanting a break. Putty is great to stretch and to help build the muscles in your hands.
Number 3: Sculpt it
Just like playdough, putty can be moulded and sculpted into any animal, shape or creation that you want it to. However, unlike playdough, one of our putties glows in the dark, allowing you to see it in the darkest nights and rooms.
Why not make that little unicorn that you’ve always wanted to do? If it goes wrong you can just push it together and start again!
Number 4: Pop it
Why not do the silliest of things and cover the end of your thumb with the putty, wiggle it off the end of your thumb and squish the end of it to make a seal. Now all you need to do is press it down to create the most satisfying noise you will hear. This can become very, very addictive!
Number 5: Stamp it
Roll the putty out as if it was dough, being ready to cut into cookies. Use small objects such as beads, stamps, or even just your fingers to imprint them. You could maybe create something that could be used as a clue for a mystery treasure hunt, or cut little pieces for your putty sculptures.
