Curse of the Sea Rats is a ratoidvania platform adventure game with hand-drawn animation that follows the epic journey of four prisoners of the British Empire turned into rats by a pirate witch. To regain their human bodies, they will have to fight dangerous bosses, explore Ireland’s vast coast, and eventually capture the witch who cursed them.

Beautiful hand-drawn 2D animation has breathed life into the characters in the game – inspired by the work of Disney and Don Bluth and reminiscent of the golden age of 2D platformers. They blend seamlessly with detailed 3D environments enriched with light and shadow to create a 2.5D platformer of amazing quality.

Direct your own progress in the game’s vast non-linear world as you try to track down a pirate witch who has cursed you. A shipwrecked man on the coast of Ireland in the 18th century will need more than his fencing skills to set out on the road to freedom.

Whether you’re playing alone or with three friends, there are four playable characters to choose from – Douglas, Buffalo, Akane, and Buss. Each of them brings their own unique fighting style to the adventure that will help you defeat both enemies and the environment!

Each character has their own strengths and weaknesses, but as you progress through the game you’ll be able to improve their skills – unlocking new special skills, increasing attack and defense, or unlocking powerful magic!
