Compact talking press-sensory tabletop electronic chess computer with fast CPU, backlight and training book to 1500+ ELO for social players
Millennium in Germany has now made its latest Karpov Schachschule (Karpov Chess School) chess computer available to the English speaking market. It is the fastest, strongest and most power efficient talking chess computer in its class and the only talking model with an illuminated display. The small tabletop form factor also facilitates a high degree of portability, enhanced by a handy built-in storage compartment for the magnetic chess pieces.
Sporting a 25% faster processor than in other brand tabletop machines affording a playing strength of 1500 ELO while requiring just three AA batteries instead of four, the Karpov Chess School uniquely can also accept an optional mains power adaptor for long term economy. With the ability to speak in well-enunciated English or German and accompanied by a unique 87-page training book to complement the user manual (both in English) it makes for a classy package.
It communicates through an intuitive menuing and messaging system with moves being registered both for the computer and its opponent by light finger or piece pressure on the squares of a responsive sensory board. The brightly backlit LCD board and message area visually reflects the state of play to make position verification and other functions effortless.
Millennium chess computers are designed in Europe and officially endorsed by the successor to Bobby Fischer, world chess champion Anatoly Karpov.
