The Morgan horse is one of the first horse breeds developed in the USA. Morgan horses had many roles in 19th-century America, including coach horses for harness racing, calvary horses and general riding animals.

A Morgan horse is 14.1-15.2 hands tall (145-156 cm) and has a compact, muscular build. It has a strong stamina and natural way of moving.
