Styracosaurus means ‘spiked lizard’ and it was a ceratopsian dinosaur that lived during the Late Cretaceous period around 76-70 million years ago.

Styracosaurus were 5.5 metres long, 1.8 metres high and weighed 3 tons. They were herbivores and ate plants such as palms.
