The Velociraptor was a fast-moving dangerous predator from the Cretaceous era, best recognised from the Jurassic Park films in recent years.

Contrary to popular belief, the Velociraptor was in fact around the same size as a large turkey. It grew to 2 metres (6.8ft) in length and up to 0.5 metres (1.6ft) in height.
