This series of illustrated animal yoyos are decorated with animal figures which all origins from a series of books by the Parisian royal gardener Georges-Louis Leclerc, comte de Buffon (1707-1788).
The animal representations contained in the books have been a source of inspiration for fine arts, fashion, decoration, educational works and children’s books.
